What a week it’s been. With so much buildup to the Fourth of July, we’re feeling a little blue now that it’s all over. Yes, that’s it -- the reason for our sluggishness. It’s definitely not the pinot grigio IV we’ve had hooked up to our arm since mid-June, or our complete inability to get any work done. Nope, it’s gotta be the end of the holiday that’s got us down. Fortunately, we’ll be doing the one thing is guaranteed to cheer up any girl this weekend. We will be walking down the aisle … in a bridesmaid’s dress. We're certain our own groom-to-be is still finishing his MBA somewhere and spending his free time modeling and helping out with children's charities, but anyway. Back in the day, one of our fantasy grooms would have been George Michael, which won't work out now for obvious reasons. However, if someone could please get us tickets to his show, we would be eternally grateful. Until then...we'll be diving for the bouquet.

George Michael - July 13
OMG! We are very excited about this concert. It doesn’t matter what little scandal George might have been involved in recently, we still love him like we did when we were teenagers and thought he might still marry us. “Faith” “Freedom,” “Monkey,” “Father Figure,” the list goes on and on. He might have new stuff, which we’re certain will be amazing, but if we don’t hear “Careless Whisper,” we might storm the stage. Don’t think we won’t. 8pm. American Airlines Center, 2500 Victory Ave. 214-373-8000. www.ticketmaster.com. |

Happenings: Taste of Dallas 2008 (Through July 13)
We like anything that has to do with taste. We are not picky. So we will head to the West End, a place we don’t usually frequent, for this annual festival. |

Food and Wine: Hands-On Cheesemaking Class
We love cheese. We have no idea how to make it; we just imagine that’s some kind of magic that happens involving milk. However, if there is one person we want to teach us about cheesemaking, it’s Paula Lambert. |

Theater and Dance: Avenue Q (Through July 13)
We’ve always wanted to see this production, because we like anything involving puppets, and if you throw in “comic vulgarities,” well, it doesn’t get much better than that. |
