The following is a conversation we just had with our editor:
Him: “Hey, Sarah, how’s that newsletter coming?”
Us: : “Ummm…we were just…thinking about…thinking about doing that!” (Subtly turning body as to block monitor of computer, where iChat icon is bouncing up and down like a tiny basketball.) Yes! We were just working on it! Really, just now, right now, when you walked over here, we were already three-quarters through, well, really more like nearly finished, you know, not quite really done yet.” (Opening new Word doc with one hand, while maintaining eye contact and batting eyelashes profusely).
Him: : “Okay, I need it as soon as possible.” [ He said in a kind, yet funny and totally supportive way. --Ed.]
Us: : “Ha ha, yes! It’s nearly complete. Just putting on the finishing touches.” Eeks! Here it is, girls and guys, finished in under an hour. Luckily there are so many things to do this weekend; it was an easy newsletter to fill. Theater, art, parties, sports, you name it, it’s all happening here. Now that that’s done, back to our regularly scheduled Jezebel reading, already in progress.

Richard III - Apr 4 to May 3
Doncha just love opening night? Get in and see it before the plebs, that’s what we say. No, it’s not what we say. Okay, sometimes. Anyway, local star Rene Moreno portrays Richard III in a way you’ve never seen before—from a wheelchair. This is a timeless, tragic story of a man obsessed with obtaining and retaining the crown, and what happens to him along the way. Theater critic Glenn Arbery tells us it’s a must-see and we do what he says, and so should you. Kitchen Dog Theater, 3120 McKinney Ave. 214-953-1055. |

Museums and Galleries: Cédric Delsaux: Star Wars on Earth Through May 3
We love Star Wars. Especially the one with hottie McHotHot Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader. Most folks, we hear, love the original trilogy, so most folks, we think, will dig this exhibition at the Conduit Gallery. |
|
| Happenings: Fashion Revolution at the Urban Oasis
We love lounging poolside. We feel like LC on “The Hills,” except with less fabulous clothes, no boyfriend named Brody, and at least 25 extra pounds. Thankfully, we can be all covered up at the Fashion Revolution party at Hotel ZaZa’s Urban Oasis. |

Galas and Benefits: La Fete du Ballet
This is the kind of charity event we dig—forget the suits and socialites, we want to hang out with the talent. |
|
| Galas and Benefits: Neiman Marcus Stiletto Strut
Other charities make us walk for three days, but the organizers of the first-ever Neiman Marcus Stiletto Strut know their audience: Attendees need only take one trip around the NM Downtown block. |

Kid Stuff: Mo Willems
You may not know his name, but Mo Willems has been entertaining your children for years. He has written for Sesame Street, created animated series for Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon, and is the bestselling author of Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus and the Knuffle Bunny books. |

Sports: Opening Day at the Ranger’s Ballpark in Arlington
We don’t normally like baseball (too much exposure to the elements, hard to tell who is cute with those caps on, etc), but opening day is different. The excitement is palpable, and we saw hunky CJ Wilson the other night at Victory Park so we now know whom to cheer for. |
