We are back from our vacation. We wonder if you missed us. We did not think about you, not even one time. No, that’s not true: we did think about you once, when a Belgian dude was spitting profanities at us—something about “our Texan president.” At least, we think that’s what we heard. The noise in the coffee shop was really loud. Annnnyway, we’re back now, and ready to go to some events! We really will be attending at least a couple of these, and you should too. Music? Sports? Quick’s Big Thing - Apr. 24

Normally we only like to promote D Magazine-related events, but today, we are making an exception. Just don’t tell our boss. Quick’s Big Thing is happening tonight, and we are so excited, for two reasons. 1) Gordon Keith is hosting, and we are going to make darn sure he knows where we work. 2) The Polyphonic Spree is headlining, and we are obsessed with them now, as everyone knows because we have talked about it way too much already. This is a free event, people, and its celebrating local music. There will be awards given out (Big Group, Big Solo Artist, Big Live Act, etc.) that were chosen by expert panelists, and there will be music All. Night. Long. Come on out and say hello to us.
