Earlier today, we were working/reading the Interwebs and downloading hip-hop tunes when we came across an article about cat cafes in Japan. Cats! Apparently, folks in Tokyo can visit these spots and pet kitties for an hour or so, mostly as a stress reliever. This got us thinking—we have been SO stressed lately! And with all the movie watching, fashion show attending, and hobnobbing with visiting celebs (hello again, Bill Paxton!) we’ll be doing this weekend, there’s no sign of QT with our couch anytime in the near future. So, we asked our sweet papa what he thought of our idea to buy a new furry pet. His response? “Don’t you have a hard enough time getting dates as it is?” Point taken. We’ll see you this weekend—we’ll be the one not covered in cat fur.

2008 AFI Dallas International Film Festival - Mar 27 to Apr 6
This amazing film festival just keeps getting better every year, like a fine wine, and our understanding that Jake Gyllenhaal is not going to move to town and fall in love with us. Luckily we can stare at those with better fortunes for a good 10 days or so. On opening night, check out Helen Hunt and her new film, Then She Found Me, to kick off the festival. Every day there are movies being shown all over the city, so get out there and catch a few flicks. There are a few free screenings, as well as some parties and fun red carpet events. This is big-time, folks, so let’s do it right. Visit website for event details, dates and times. (Full disclosure: D Magazine is the official media sponsor, but we’d promote the event anyway because it’s cool.) |

Happenings: Fashion at the Park Through March 30
What better way to end the month than with four days of fashion? Oh. Well, did we mention free drinks, great goodie bags, and priceless people-watching? Gotcha there, didn’t I? |

Happenings:Elizabeth Showers Trunk Show
It’s no secret we are fans of Elizabeth Showers. Hopefully she hasn’t picked up on the fact that we’ve been copying the outfits she wears to events for months now. Anyway, the local jewelry designer is having a trunk show on Friday to introduce her new 18K Gold Maltese Collection. |

Happenings: LFT One Year Anniversary
It’s hard to believe Victory Park mega store LFT has already been open a year. It’s also hard to believe those contestants on The Bachelor: London Calling are really serious with all that singing. But anyway. |

Kid Stuff: Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour
The other night in front of the tube, we were thinking, the only way to make High School Musical and High School Musical 2 any better would be to combine the two and put ice skates on everyone. And lo, our wish was granted! |
