It’s no big surprise what the focus of this week’s newsletter is: Eliot Spitzer. Oh, come on people, it’s really St. Patrick’s Day. If you don’t love this holiday, well, then, you’re not very fun, are you? And that’s why we don’t return your phone calls. Read below to see a few other things going on, and check out Kyle’s newsletter for the scoop on the parties. We’ll see you on Greenville Ave. and then undetermined locations to follow. Go, St. Patrick.

Greenville Avenue St. Patrick’s Day Parade - Mar 15
You haven’t really lived in this town unless you’ve taken place in the parade, which entails: watching floats of all shapes and sizes crawl past, being five drinks in by noon, wearing a vulgar amount of beads around your neck, and clinking cups with thousands of strangers in front of the Blue Goose Cantina. Said event may or may not involve an uncomfortable conversation with our exec editor, but if it does, consider yourself fully indoctrinated. Seriously, in its 29th year, the GASPDP is not to be missed, and this year, a concert featuring Austin’s beloved Ghostland Observatory follows the parade, making it even better than before. The party goes on through the night, which means we will see you at the Dubliner as soon as we elbow our way through the crowds of North Dallasites in green face paint. 11am. Greenville Avenue from Blackwell to Yale. |

Foodie Finds: Imperia Vodka and Caviar Tasting at Morton’s The Steakhouse
We should be resting up for the big event the next day, but we’ve always followed the theory that a solid night of boozing before a day of drinking is a good move, because it increases our tolerance. Did we say we? Oh, no, we meant our friends practice that, those drunks. |

Music: Sia
Though many haven’t heard of this Australian pop singer yet, we have seen her CD at Starbucks. Despite this mainstream affiliation, her face paint and the name of the album, Some People Have Real Problems, lead us to believe this will be a great show. |

Happenings: Dallas Blooms Through April 13
On Sundays, the only things that usually sounds good to us are bloody marys and couch time, but when it’s nice out (like it’s supposed to be this weekend—looking at you, James Aydelott), we like to get some sun on our pasty face. Combine that with looking at the thousands of flowers in bloom at the Dallas Arboretum, and it sounds like Sunday has been officially made lovely. |

Benefits and Galas: Shop for the Symphony
We know, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra is one of those things that sounds like it would appeal to your parents more than you. Well, just like you were wrong about drinking Dad’s Johnny Walker, you scotch addict, the DSO is also much cooler than you think. |
