It took a knock to his head to bring this couple together.
When Lanse Derrick landed in the hospital, he also landed a wife. Brittany Wilson went with a friend to visit the fellow who had fallen and hit his head—and found herself falling for him. Their first date was to dinner at Sevan on Lower Greenville; Lanse proposed about three years later. The couple married July 17, 2010, at Royal Lane Baptist Church. A reception with 350 friends and family members followed at Hickory Street Annex. No injuries were sustained.
