Ask Marci Brice how she met her husband, and she’ll say it wasn’t romantic. But Tommy Dodier made up for a lackluster first impression when he asked Marci to marry him four years later: he carved a heart with their initials into a tree at his ranch near Laredo. Both sported cowboy boots when they walked down the aisle June 6, 2009, at Rough Creek Lodge. After the color-soaked celebration, the couple departed on a monthlong road trip that was a true honeymoon adventure.
