Real Weddings: Holly Erwin & Kent McCarty
A longtime couple throws a family-friendly affair.
Holly and Kent dated throughout high school and college. When they decided to go on a trip with another couple, there was no cause for suspicion. But then the other couple cancelled last minute. Holly and Kent were left to enjoy the wildlife tour on their own. And when Holly exited the truck and saw Kent on his knee, she did the same. She had no idea what he what he was up to initially.
Once the proposal was accepted, it was important to Holly and Kent to create a family-friendly wedding day. After all, they’d known one another’s families for decades. Their ceremony took place on December 17, 2010, at the church where Holly was baptized. Later, their reception was a mix of family and friends who had proven so influential throughout their lives, and it was a great celebration for all who had supported their relationship.
