Real Weddings: Nancy Burgher & Robert Turnbull
A family ranch played host to a beautiful outdoor affair.
College sweethearts and Texas enthusiasts Nancy and Robert wanted their wedding and reception to be distinctive, unique, and above all—fun. Set under the Texas Hill Country sky at Robert’s family ranch, the two said “I do” on June 2 under a canopy of trees surrounded by family and friends. Guests enjoyed a buffet that included Tex-Mex favorites and local flavors during a cocktail hour and the reception, including quail, chalupas, empanadas, and duck nachos. Soft, natural shades of blues, greens, and whites accented the rustic, sophisticated fête, and guests danced the night away to a local ’80s and ’90s music cover band. “We wanted everyone to have a great time,” Nancy says, “and the whole night was a fantastic party. Everyone let loose and really had fun!”
