Ashlee Gilliam and Josh Powell were introduced at work, but these coworkers were destined to be more than just friends. A year and a half later, Josh whisked Ashlee away to Dallas for a surprise weekend holiday. The couple toured some of the city’s best sights, attended a concert, and got engaged. When they began planning their big day, they knew the event should take place where Josh proposed—in Big D. “Dallas was the first destination we traveled to as a couple,” Ashlee says, “so it made perfect sense to say ‘I do’ here.” Ashlee’s request was a “wedding that’s as creative, funky, and fun as possible.” Their wedding at the Dallas Museum of Art was all that and more.
