Real Weddings: Melissa Pratt and Kevin McClintick
A sales call leads to love for an insurance broker.
Insurance broker Melissa Pratt had been making business calls on Kevin McClintick for three years, when Kevin finally offered to take her to lunch for all her efforts (though he still didn’t buy an insurance policy). It was a normal business lunch until Melissa mentioned her love of spending time at the lake. That was the ticket for Kevin. By the time Melissa got back to her office, there was an e-mail waiting in her inbox inviting her to Kevin’s lake house for the upcoming Labor Day weekend. “From that point, it was like magic,” says Melissa. A year and a half later they were engaged (on New Year’s, no less), and four months after that they were husband and wife. Needless to say, Melissa finally sold Kevin an insurance policy.
