Real Weddings: Katie Armstong & Matthew Althoff

Why not bring a seaside feel to a Dallas event?

Katie Armstong and Matthew Althoff brought the beach to Big D for their March 11, 2012, nuptials. “We wanted a super-casual, laid-back wedding to prep for our honeymoon,” says Katie, and that’s what they got. There was reggae music, Caribbean food, and even a dance floor lit to look like the ocean. But the wedding wasn’t all about adults. With lots of kiddos to account for, including the couple’s own five-year-old son, Matthew, it was important to have a kid-friendly zone, so they decked out the theater inside the museum with kids stuff and carnival games. Happy kids; happy adults; happy wedding.
