You know that movie plotline about a guy and a girl meeting on vacation, falling in love, and living happily ever after? Turns out, it can actually happen. Though they’re from Texas and New York, respectively, Ashley Gibbs and Matthew Lopez met while on a May vacation in Miami. Just two months later, Ashley had her first visit to see Matthew in New York. Then in August, it was Matthew’s turn to see Big D, and by September, he had decided to make the move to Texas to be with her. “When you know, you know,” says Ashley. The couple wed on May 5, 2012, exactly three years after first meeting on the beach.
