Patel’s the total package: brains (she’s an attorney), beauty (obviously), heart (she’s on the board of the education nonprofit Big Thought), and she’s also a little silly (in the movie of her life, she’d be played by Tina Fey’s 30 Rock alter ego). Patel devotes a big part of her life to the arts. She works in trademark law to protect creative property, takes advantage of the expanding Arts District when she can, and even sits on the board of governors for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. The prime target of her devotion? “I’m Madonna’s biggest fan,” Patel says. “Whenever she’s on tour, I go to three or four of her concerts, and I make them into mini-vacations.”
