The Coolest Offices in Dallas-Fort Worth
From Fountain Place to JPMorgan Chase Tower, North Texas is known for its striking office architecture. But the interiors of our workspaces are pretty stellar, too.
Location: 7300 Lone Star Drive, Ste. 200, Plano
Designed by: Gensler
Size: 60,000 square feet
Publicis’ office in Plano’s Shops at Legacy was designed with engagement in mind—a tall task for a space that’s two football fields long and three stories high. Led by newly hired CEO Sally Kennedy, the ad agency’s office features collaborative settings like the “kitchen table,” which stretches across the entire length of the space, and a multimedia tunnel that connects both halves of the workspace.
1 Curtained “yurts” provide privacy for informal meetings; window seats create impromptu workspaces; flexible lamps add light when the sun’s not able to do its job.
2 Tall windows and glass-doored outer offices allow natural light to illuminate inner work spaces, too; pops of red add personality.
3 Exposed ceilings add height and character; staircase seating can be used for large meetings; oak flooring keeps things light and provides continuity.
4 Publicis’ bold, red company logo is one of the first things visitors see; wooden cutouts add texture to workspace walls.
Location: 601 Experian Pkwy., Allen
Designed by: Corgan Associates
Size: 125,000 square feet
Seeking a way to bring this global credit information company’s 500+ employees together in spite of huge floorplates led Corgan to design the “Experian Circle,” a central area to which all hallways lead. The vibrant office features bright colors and patterns, unusual lighting, and an abundance of couches and group seating—all intended to support communication and collaboration.
1 Raised seating arranged to spark conversations; built-in magazine and document holders between seats; “windows” that mimic natural light, which doesn’t reach this part of the office.
2 Hidden lighting showcases the texture of corridor walls; the ceiling gives the impression of the sky; soft color palatte throughout; curving seating options.
3 Circular couch for breaks or meetings; glass wall separates relaxation and collaboration areas.
