You might have heard about this little place being built called the Dallas Center for Performing Arts. You know, the new buildings that are going to put our city on the international arts stage, once and for all? Yep, those. The Dallas Museum of Art is smack in the middle of the Arts District, and they want to celebrate their new neighbors with an exhibition. They will have around 100 works on display from their collection that illustrate “how dance, music, and theater performance is an essential human instinct,” according to the press release. Works such as Pablo Picasso’s The Guitarist, Romare Bearden’s “Soul Three,” and many more will be theme. There will also be a presentation space within the galleries for live performances. Through Feb 28. Tue & Wed, 11am–5pm; Thu, 11am–9pm; Fri, Sat & Sun, 11am–5pm.
