We don’t usually like to think about our death. But since we are forced to right now, we agree that being buried with a few things would be pretty neat. Like maybe the first book in the Twilight series or our signed picture of Joey McIntyre. Apparently, the Chinese have been burying themselves with things for years. At this exhibit, burial furnishings from the Neolithic Period through the Ming Dynasty are on display. These are artisanal objects that were stashed in tombs so the soul of the deceased could “continue to possess the wealth, power, and religious tranquility enjoyed in his or her previous life.” Okay, that’s a bit deeper than NKOTB, but no less meaningful.
