We know you’ve been counting down the days until the first-ever D Art Slam. Well, you can stop counting, because the excitement starts now. Come to the VIP preview Thursday night and be the first to meet the artists, purchase their works, and get to know the 2009 New Dallas Nine winners. The rest of the weekend, come to F.I.G. to purchase photographs, paintings, and drawings from emerging and established Dallas artists. Or just come to window shop and hang with the cool kids (ahem, us). We won’t call you out. VIP party: $100 (this includes three-day pass), 7–9 pm; Art Slam: $20.
